ADD TO CART: Stone Tables

Hi friends! Nicole from En Shell here back with another blog contribution for a. Naber Design.

Stone furniture is back and better than ever! In particular, we’ve noticed stone tables of all sorts and types being all the rage – dining tables, coffee tables, side tables, & consoles. From marble, travertine, limestone, terrazzo, and even onyx, design lovers of all types are coming back to the roots of nature’s raw elements.

It’s hard not to notice the shift towards calm and neutral-based interiors these days. After all of the chaos over the last year and a half, more and more of us are reaching for grounding color palettes, warm textures, and organic forms, and nothing gets more organic and textural than natural stone. Stone is quite versatile and can be used for a variety of styles from geometric, sculptural, and over-scaled to clean, sophisticated, and streamlined.

We have been seeing everything from a resurgence of vintage-inspired Post-Modern pieces from the ’80s to bold and minimal showstoppers that feel like a futuristic version of ancient Rome, and we just can’t get enough! Scroll below to take a peek at our stone table roundup, as well as a few homes whose stone table game is making us swoon. Public disclaimer: if we go missing, you can find us down a dark internet hole searching for the perfect vintage stone coffee table. Enjoy!

SPOTLIGHT ON: Australian Style

Hello hello! It’s Nicole here, also known as En Shell, back at it again contributing to the a Naber Design blog!

It’s officially summer here in the Northern Hemisphere, and as I am still in the midst of settling into and scheming the look of my new apartment, I can’t help but seek ideas from our friends in the Land Down Under. I’m talking Australian style, my friends!

Aussie interiors continue to be a point of inspiration time and time again. I’m always taking note of their use of bold shapes, soft curves, and organic materiality. Aussie style feels clean and simplistic while also feeling rich and textural. Most designs seem to come from a place considering nature and the outdoors and utilize materials like rattan, linens, and woven palm.

Bright whites and grounding neutrals mixed with warm earthy palettes give off the perfect balance of muted color. The use of repetition through graphic art and patterned tiles can’t help but cheer me up with one look.

Anything that looks and feels like an endless summer at the beach is always a win in my book! We’ve rounded up a few images and products from some favorite Australian designers and makers, as well as a few other pieces that help us achieve that quintessential modern cottage by the sea. Enjoy!
