Featuring Art from a Naber Designs home

Hey everyone! Nicole from En Shell back again.

Get ready to save some sources and add to your Pinterest boards. This post is goodie! When Abbie texted me asking me what my thoughts were on doing a blog post about artists she has in her home, my immediate response was YES let’s do it…give the people what they want! Seriously though, I know we all have been soaking up every photo of her latest home addition, am I right?

Abbie is known for her artistically-forward interiors that feel layered, lived-in, and comfortable while still having that California-cool factor. Her designs are known for feeling effortless, relaxed, approachable, and fresh. A crucial element in every room is art, and it is easy to spot an a Naber designed space due to the art-focused walls, airy and warm color palette, and the light and bright feel. Abbie is one of those designers we all follow not only for her stunning designs but also because she is always in the know of the coolest artists, makers, and creators. Not only that, she is always spreading the love and sharing the knowledge on social media so that we can all step up our interior game, too.

So without further ado, take a scroll below, and checkout a room-to-room tour of Abbie’s personal art collection. Enjoy!

ROUNDUP: Holiday Ornaments

Hey all! Nicole (aka En Shell Space) back again with another blog round-up.

Well, it’s safe to say that it is finally an appropriate time to talk about all things Christmas. We’ve got trees going up, and we are whipping out all of the holiday décor. If you are anything like me, I love scouring good ole Instagram this time of year to see what types of festive pieces some of my favorite makers and ceramicists are making so that I can add a new artsy ornament or two to my collection. I just can’t help myself!

If you were following Abbie on social media last year, you may also remember her curated round-up of ornaments from some of her favorite small makers, too. Well, guess what friends! We merged together and formed a lovely list of our top Christmas ornament picks for 2021, and boy is it good. I’ve got two in my shopping cart as we speak! So go get shopping and support some small makers. Your Christmas tree just might be one of the coolest in town!

ADD TO CART: Stone Tables

Hi friends! Nicole from En Shell here back with another blog contribution for a. Naber Design.

Stone furniture is back and better than ever! In particular, we’ve noticed stone tables of all sorts and types being all the rage – dining tables, coffee tables, side tables, & consoles. From marble, travertine, limestone, terrazzo, and even onyx, design lovers of all types are coming back to the roots of nature’s raw elements.

It’s hard not to notice the shift towards calm and neutral-based interiors these days. After all of the chaos over the last year and a half, more and more of us are reaching for grounding color palettes, warm textures, and organic forms, and nothing gets more organic and textural than natural stone. Stone is quite versatile and can be used for a variety of styles from geometric, sculptural, and over-scaled to clean, sophisticated, and streamlined.

We have been seeing everything from a resurgence of vintage-inspired Post-Modern pieces from the ’80s to bold and minimal showstoppers that feel like a futuristic version of ancient Rome, and we just can’t get enough! Scroll below to take a peek at our stone table roundup, as well as a few homes whose stone table game is making us swoon. Public disclaimer: if we go missing, you can find us down a dark internet hole searching for the perfect vintage stone coffee table. Enjoy!
